Royal Highland Show Adventure!

This weekend (21st-24th June) was our second shot at the Royal Highland Show in Ingliston and what a weekend it was... the sun was shining and the fish was selling! 

Thursday and Friday started the weekend off with a bang and our General Manager - Kirsty even got her claim to fame when she was asked to do a presentation with Stockans Oatcakes to showcase our TASTY hot-smoked salmon, which went down a treat! This was a great opportunity for us to advertise to tourists and new customers and get them over to our stall for another tasting session. To be honest, whenever we mention Luss to tourists, we get every story about their holiday trips to Loch Lomond... either that or we get the "Oh like from Take The High Road?!" which always gives us a giggle. 

If you follow us on social media or have read our most recent blog, you'll know our little team has blossomed into a big happy family of 9. Therefore, the Royal Highland Show was a great opportunity for us to get some of our newbies along and throw them in the deep end! Both Kirstin and Emma took a shot at manning the stall for a couple of hours and both seemed the enjoy the buzz that the show brings. We also had one of our longest serving, Shona, help out on the Saturday too, which was like having a celeb with us... Everyone loved her pate recipe, we were almost fighting off folk wanting an autograph! 

So, Monday has come around again and we are all a bit exhausted from a busy weekend. But, we are pleased to say that this weekend was a successful one for us and as usual we enjoyed meeting new customers. We look forward to our next trade exhibition, there's always one round the corner... so until next time!
